What Is RISA?
Who We Are:
The purpose of RISA is to advocate for the interests of the profession in government legislation and regulations, to provide accurate information about Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to the community, and to offer means for professional communication about relevant events.
RISA welcomes all practitioners licensed to practice in the state of Rhode Island. We hope to provide an environment where the interests and views of all practitioners can be represented.

Our Philosophy
RISA believes in promoting the interests of our profession while maintaining a positive, cooperative presence in our relationship with other health care professions and with the Rhode Island Department of Health. We believe that the interests of the profession will best be served by negotiating in this manner.
